One of the most common questions I hear is….Does Jelqing work for length?
The answer to this is question is yes and no, depending on how you perform your routines.
So lets take a deeper look at Jelqing so you can do it correctly and achieve the results you’re looking for…
Jelqing is one of the most popular techniques for increasing the size of your penis and for good reason.
- It requires no specialized equipment
- You don’t have to do it for hours at a time every day
- It’s one of the safest ways to reliably enlarge your penis
- It’s free
The only downside to jelqing is that it tends to target girth more than length in almost every case.
This defeats the main purpose for most men who want to enlarge their penises.
But can you jelq for length? If so, how can you do it to target those elongation gains?
What’s the best way to get a longer penis using simple, inexpensive techniques?
Let’s take a look…
Can You Jelq for Length?
To answer this question, let’s look at how jelqing increases the size of your penis. If you’re not sure what jelqing is, check out this article for complete details on the exercise.
When you jelq, you flood your penis with blood and keep it there.
You might recognize this as the physical mechanic that causes erections — and I’m certain you’ve noticed how erections (temporarily) make your penis much larger.
Keeping your penis over-flooded with blood stretches the tissues throughout your penis.
Eventually, the tissue “resets” to remain in the stretched position (think of an older rubber band that’s spent too long around a large bundle of papers).
The new, expanded size becomes your new norm…
Jelqing does this in all directions at once for your penis, increasing girth mostly, with a little assist for length (source).
Short version: you can get a little length from jelqing, but you shouldn’t count on it as your main method to add inches.
How to Make Jelqing Work for Length
You’ll see some people report getting massive length gains from jelqing on various forums. But if jelqing doesn’t really work for length, why do men report this experience?
What most of them do is either use jelqing in addition to working with an extender, or they use a variety of stretching exercises that are kind of similar to jelqing, but not really jelqing.
Used with an extender, jelqing becomes a support exercise that maximizes and speeds gains — just like doing lunges and leg extensions to support the workout you get from doing squats.
Stretching exercises work to enlarge your penis, but in a specific direction that results in extra length. The most effective of these stretching exercises are the side-to-side stretch, the A stretch, and the bundled stretch.
Side-to-side Stretch
With the side-to-side stretch, you grip your (mostly) flaccid penis just behind the glans, then stretch it straight out for as far as it will go.
Then pull it to the left until it reaches your leg, then all the way to the right until it reaches your other leg.
That’s one repetition.
Start out at 50-100 reps, in sets of ten with a rest in between. Some men work their way up to 1,000 reps in sets of 100, but definitely don’t start at that level.
A Stretch
Start the A stretch with your penis no more than half erect, with a cylindrical object somewhere within reach.
You can use a beverage can, a length of pipe, or your forearm — anything like that.
Grip your penis below the glans and stretch straight outward as far as it will go.
Place the object beneath your penis and “wrap” it forward and down while pulling upward with your cylinder.
Hold for 15 to 20 seconds, then release. Do between five and ten repetitions per session.
Bundled Stretch
To understand a bundled stretch, think about wringing out a towel. Grip your penis just beneath the glans and stretch it forward, then twist it in one direction until you can’t twist it further without pain.
Hold it for 30 seconds, then twist in the other direction and hold for another 30 seconds.
Start with four or five repetitions, then work your way up to ten.
How are these stretches similar to jelqing? They’re free, and they don’t take very long, and they’re convenient to do.
So they have most of the advantages of jelqing, even if the actual details are slightly different.
Jelq for Length — Icing on the Cake
If you really want to focus on jelqing for length, like I said it can give you some length gains.
To maximize these gains, I recommend the following procedure.
Step One: Warm up for five to ten minutes, using a warm towel to massage your penis and make it 70 to 80% hard. This increases blood flow and “limbers up” the tissues, just like you should for any other exercise routine.
Step Two: Perform a full jelqing routine.
Step Three: Relax and perform a 15-30 minute edging session. Click here for a full description of what edging for penis enlargement is, and how it differs from the sex game with the same name.
By adding edging to your jelqing routine, you maximize how long your penis is engorged with blood, and you add a little outward stretching into the mix.
By “icing the cake” this way, you get as much length as possible while sticking mostly to jelqing.
Again, this is not the best tactic for making your penis longer — but if you’re set on jelqing only, it’s the best option you have.
Does Jelqing work for length- Conclusion:
Does Jelqing work for length?
The short answer is “no.”
If you really want rapid, reliable length gains you need to use an extender.
That’s because an extender — like the exercises I mentioned above — stretch the tissues of your penis forward and out.
Jelqing, on the other hand, stretches your tissues in all directions at once. That includes forward and out, so you’ll get some length gains. But your efforts won’t focus on gaining length nearly as much as girth.
Like any kind of exercise routine, if you focus on a specific goal you will make more gains toward that goal than if you stay consistent.
Bottom line: when it comes to length, jelqing is great as a supporting exercise to help speed and cement overall gains. But it’s not your best choice as a primary length enhancer.
